
Celebrating 20 Years of Dedication: Emily Behr’s Journey in Auto Financing
This year, we proudly celebrate Emily Behr’s 20th anniversary with the Dave Arbogast family. As an expert in auto financing and sales, Emily’s career spans over three decades, with the last 20 years dedicated to helping customers find the right vehicle and the right financial path — always with compassion, honesty, and heart.
A Career Built on Ethics and Care
Emily began her career in auto financing 32 years ago and has worked with three dealerships along the way. When she joined Dave Arbogast, she knew right away it was the right fit:
“I knew this was a great place with a good moral compass and ethics. You don’t find that everywhere. I feel it’s important to treat people right and I knew I would be able to do that and feel good about what I do here.”
Starting as a Finance Manager, Emily helped build the department from just two people into a full team of experts dedicated to helping customers from every financial background.
From Fax Machines to Online Shopping
The auto industry has changed dramatically over the past 20 years, and Emily has seen it all:
“Everything was done by hand, phone, and fax back then! You had more person-to-person interaction because you actually had to come to the dealership. To get a customer approved, you picked up the phone and called the banks. Now, everything is online and customers will travel hours for the best deal.”
Still, one thing has remained constant — Emily’s care for her customers.
Customers Who Become Family
One of Emily’s most memorable stories involves a woman who had lost nearly everything after her husband passed away. Emily not only got her approved but personally drove an hour to pick her up for her vehicle purchase:
“She laughed, cried, and was so thankful I got her back on the road again. I cried with her. That was years ago and I still call her and check on her. I will never forget her.”
Emily believes every customer leaves a mark, and she treats each one with kindness, empathy, and honesty.
Overcoming Challenges, Achieving Success
Despite personal challenges and health struggles, Emily has continued to rise to the top:
“I am proud that I somehow managed to push through and come out on top. My dedication to Dave Arbogast, my customers, and myself have allowed me to achieve Salesperson of the Year several years in a row.”
Her resilience is a testament to both her character and her passion for helping people.
Guiding the Next Generation
Now, Emily is sharing her wisdom by helping train new salespeople:
“Be yourself and don’t lie to get the sale! If you don’t know the answer, say that and find out. Treat customers how you’d want to be treated. In the end, you’re selling yourself and your great customer service.”
A Grateful Heart
Emily credits much of her career success to the unwavering support of Dave and Blake Arbogast:
“They have been there for me through so many ups and downs as a single parent with children with illnesses, as well as my own health challenges. They truly treat me like family. I will never be able to thank them enough.”
Looking Ahead
Even after 20 years, Emily is as motivated as ever to continue helping people:
“My goal is to always stay true to myself — caring, loving, and understanding. By doing that, I will continue to succeed.”
